Mural

The underpasses at Lahti Travel Centre are decorated with a mural designed by Terhi Ekebom and Kirsi-Maria Raunion. The work, entitled Flowing Movement – Towards New Ideas, was created as part of the Lahti European Green Capital 2021 project. Drawing on the aesthetics of graphic novels and printmaking, the work enlivens the underpasses with its organically sprawling forms, which suit the themes of the environment and nature. Each staircase leading to the travel centre is painted in its own colour to facilitate navigation.
