Professor Johan Richard Danielson-Kalmari was a prominent Finnish historian, politician and councillor of state. For about 40 years, he spent his summers in Asikkala, where he had a villa near the Vääksy canal. Danielson-Kalmari’s bronze bust was designed and made by sculptor Aimo Tukiainen.
