If your poster is selected to the exhibition
The competition committee will select the posters for the exhibition from among the submitted digital image files in January 2025. A list of posters selected for the exhibition will be published on this website early in February 2025.
Posters selected for categories A, B, and C must be mailed to the following address in duplicate paper copies by February 28, 2025:

THE POSTAL PACKAGE IS TO BE MARKED “Printed matter – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE”.
If you print your poster especially for the triennial, we kindly request that you select 70 x 100 cm format. The minimum size of approved posters is 42 x 60 cm and the maximum size is 120 x 180 cm. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify posters that are smaller or larger than the specified dimensions.
Exhibition catalogue
The exhibition catalogue costs €50 if ordered in advance. The price includes postage to all countries.
Announcing the winners
The winners will be announced and the prizes will be presented at the opening of the exhibition. All participants who submitted posters are cordially invited to attend the opening on June 5, 2025.

A registration fee of €20 per registered participant is payable for taking part in the 2025 Lahti Poster Triennial. The fee is to be paid upon registration to the electronic registration system The €20 fee is per participant and confers the right to submit up to four posters. No registration fee is charged for participation in Category C.
Posters may be submitted anonymously in Category C. The organizer nevertheless reserves the right to collect and save the participant’s contact details to ensure that the poster’s copyright holder is known to the organizer, and also to enable the participant to be contacted in the event that the poster wins a prize. The organizer shall not disclose the identity of anonymous participants to third parties.
Following payment of the registration fee, image files must be sent in JPG format to our electronic registration system. The registration form on the website must be filled out, indicating the name and contact details of the artist/collective, their date(s) of birth, the poster’s dimensions (height x width in cm), the intended competition category, the year the poster was designed, the client, the title, and its English translation.
The registration form must be filled in carefully. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of all submitted information, which will be published in the triennial catalogue. The organizer is not responsible for the accuracy of information submitted in the registration form.
The participant shall ensure that the submitted poster does not infringe any third party’s copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights or third party rights to the logo, trademark or name. Should any claims be made against the organizer for infringement of copyright or other third party intellectual property rights, the participant is legally bound to reimburse the organizer for any resultant compensation, damages or other incurred costs, including the organizer’s legal fees.
A list of works selected for the exhibition will be published on this website early in 2025. Selected participants are required to cover insurance costs and the cost of shipping the poster to the Lahti City Museum. Accepted posters must be packaged carefully. The organizer is not responsible for any damage that might occur during transport.
Entrants are free to choose the printing technique of posters accepted for all categories, but the poster is not to be framed or mounted.
The organizer reserves the right to reassign the submitted poster to a different category and if necessary and for any reason to exclude the entry at any stage of the selection process or the competition without liability to pay compensation or other damages to the participant.
The participant grants the organizer the right to reproduce copies of the selected works (in print or digitally), for no additional cost, for the Poster Triennial’s publishing, communications, marketing, the organizer’s educational purposes, in any media or communication medium, including all digital platforms. The organizer additionally has the right to exhibit copies of the poster in its possession in future exhibitions both in Finland and internationally. The organizer further has the right to digitally archive the poster in the Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva’s collection management system and to provide public access by later publishing the poster on the Finna search service (finna.fi) and Europeana (europeana.eu) platform.
If the participant’s competition entry is selected for the exhibition, they must provide the organizer with print copies of the poster. The participant concurrently relinquishes ownership of the submitted poster copies to the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to archive paper copies of the poster.
