Nanna Susi: The Paintress and Furious Love

Known for her deeply coloured, expressive paintings, Nanna Susi’s extensive exhibition mainly presents works of the artist created in 2021 and 2022. The name of the exhibition, The Paintress and Furious Love, describes the artist’s relationship to making art – art is made sensitively, passionately and sometimes downright furiously.

Nanna Susi (b. 1967), originally from Asikkala, is one of the most significant Finnish painters of our time. Susi, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki in 1997, became known to the general public mainly through her winning of the Young Artist of the Year award in 2000.
