LAB Institute of Design Spring Show 2024

The event has ended

The LAB Institute of Design annual spring exhibition brings together student works in the fields of design, visual arts and visual communication. The theme of the Spring Show 2024 is Circularity.

The exhibition is open 14.5–2.6.2024.

In nature, the cycle of birth, growth, decay and rebirth is everywhere we look. Circularity is the fundamental principle that governs existence, from the orbits of the planets to the life cycle of plants. From a human perspective, circularity is reflected in cycles of history, culture and personal experience.

Today, the themes of renewal, sustainability and cyclicity are particularly important to consider from an ecological perspective. The resources of our home planet are finite, and as creatives and designers we must constantly find alternative approaches to the use of energy and materials.

This year’s Spring Show is built entirely from reusable materials that can be recycled after the exhibition. For this reason, the exhibition has been the result of collaboration, innovation and compromise between many parties.

The idea of circularity is present in the nature of the ideas and thoughts. We learn and are inspired by each other. The collective unconscious from which we draw inspiration is present in every creative process.

In the works presented by the students, the idea of circularity is present in many ways, from the use of recycled materials to reflections on continuity, circulation and temporality.

The spring exhibition brings together artists and designers from a wide range of faculties, under a common atmosphere. In the same way as natural or cultural processes, creative disciplines and agents are interconnected.

The creative field is in constant motion; it is constantly transforming, renewing and reinventing itself.
We invite you to become part of the sphere of creative energy – enter the circle.
